Yesterday, the Finance Ministry revealed a whole host of incentives relating to the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone (SEZ). Eligible companies will enjoy a special tax rate of 5% for up to 15 years, in addition to other tailor-made incentives are allocated to businesses operating in certain flagship areas in SEZ. Also, eligible knowledge workers working in the zone are entitled to a special tax rate of 15% for 10 years. So just how attractive are these incentives to potential investors and other stakeholders?
