Hung Le

Tonight, filling the studios with laughter and joy faster than Vietnamese Pho, is none other than Hung Le! Touting himself proudly as the world only Australian boat-people comedian, Hung is as talented as he is off beat.

Always keen on reminding everyone he and his family only had three hours before the fall of Saigon in 1975, he packed his bags, fed the family dog to granny (his joke) and whisk away in a prawn boat headed off to Melbourne, Australia with a few stops here and there.

Hung does a bit of everything, with him studying classical music and managed to tour around the world in his 20’s with his string quartet. Even got on the Muppets show while he was in Edinburgh! Never a man who sits still, he even wrote a children’s book about a young Vietnamese boy trying to balance football and violin playing.

For the record, he scored 8
