Patriotism Blues

This week on A Bit Of Culture, we recap on Tun Mahathir’s government’s first hundred days in office, and how we’ve felt about the changes, or lack thereof. We also also explore patriotic activities held in schools, in the spirit of Hari Merdeka this year. All three hosts went to primary school during different decades, and they give us a retrospective look on how patriotism has evolved throughout the years, spurring a discussion on when patriotism is at its best. We finally delve into the historical significance between some of Malaysia’s most important dates and public holidays.
