The revocation of cabotage exemptions for foreign ships to conduct undersea cable repairs has been lauded by the local shipping industry as an act of patriotism that will preserve domestic interests. We hear from industry leader, Dato’ Abdul Hak Md. Amin, on why he thinks the cabotage policy makes sense, and how it can promote the growth of the Malaysian shipping industry.
