According to statistics from the Home Affairs Ministry, some 2 million prisoners have been released in Malaysia over the past decade. What are the challenges to reintegration and what policy measures are needed to give ex-inmates a genuine second chance in society? We discuss ways to reduce the stigma with Prof. Datuk Dr. Denison Jayasooria.
