This week on the show we dive deeper into the world of Tik Tok, Gen Z’s platform of choice. Garnering over 800 million users with 41% of them aged between 16-24, Tik Tok definitely has a unique role in thrusting old songs back into the limelight. For instance, songs by Fleetwood Mac, Justin Timberlake, and even Britney Spears are being discovered again on the platform. To understand this phenomenon, we speak to our very own Tech Guru Matt Armitage as to why Tik Tok has become so effective for musical influence, and why it has become the favorite platform for many.
