Re-imagining Live Music

The pandemic has allowed the music industry to reconceptualize the music experience, for the benefit of artists and music fans alike. The limitations set by the authorities have forced most artists to seek the unconventional route of performing, be it through a live stream or from an empty street, like The Weeknd did for his AMA performance. This is indeed a clear example of pushing creative boundaries and creating a “new genre” in order to keep the music world alive. Though this has a positive impact on the industry, are performances like these here to stay?
