By The Way: Lowest Female Vocal Note, NFT Bandwagon, From Music to Football, Apple Music City Charts

By The Way is a rapid-fire segment that gives you a snapshot of developing stories in the music world. This week, singer-songwriter Joy Chapman officially holds the Guinness World Records for the lowest female vocal note, not a World Record you come across every day. More musicians are jumping on the NFT train after observing positive results from other musicians selling their work as NFTs, Babymetal, and Run DMC are said to be rolling out their limited edition as NFTs in the coming months. The CEO of music streaming service Spotify Daniel EK received nasty remarks from musicians on Spotify’s royalty payment system after making it known that he will still try to buy over the football club Arsenal F.C even after owners insist that the club is not for sale. Lastly, Apple Music City Charts is finally live following the release of iOS 14.5, and it’s completely free. You are able to view and compare the charts at music.apple.com.
