By The Way is a rapid-fire segment that gives you a snapshot of developing stories in the music world. This week, Universal Music Group made sure that artists under their label would have a harder time re-recording their catalogues. Some sad Astroworld updates - one of the latest victims has succumbed to his injuries and passed away, bringing the death toll to 10. Snapchat penned a deal with Sony Music Entertainment to include music from its artists in the application’s sounds library together with announcing a new AR music lens. Hitmaker Diana Ross is back and is set to play a legendary slot at the Glastonbury Festival 2022.
