Stephanie Chai

Tonight, we had a special woman who had a full 180º career change. Starting as a model turned TV host and finally to the entrepreneur that she is now, she’s none other than Stephanie Chai!

Stephanie grew up in between Kuching, Sarawak and Hamilton, New Zealand. She started her modelling days when she was 18 and continued to hone her skills up to her university days. After a few years of studies, Stephanie obtained a double major in Finance and International Business from the University of Auckland.

Soon after, Stephanie went into a multitude of fashion shoots and TV Presenting. Change came when she bravely dipped her toes into the world of entrepreneurship and never looked back. Her first start up was called WeddingGuideAsia.com. A website made for the very reason to make weddings less of a pain for all of us.

Her current project, LuxeNomad; was inspired by one of Stephanie’s friends who gave Stephanie a link to a similar US based website and instantly Stephanie went all ‘I can do that too!’.  With barely a hint of experience in the travelling industry, technology and e-commerce, Stephanie is eternally grateful for Google and her passionate team.

She may have made more money from modelling but Stephanie says the word for LuxeNomad is a more rewarding one as she’s happier than ever before!

For the record, Stephanie scored 13.5!
