Lihua, Fashion Illustrator

Lihua

Tonight we have a lady who’s fashion illustration has carried her to work with Chanel, ELLE Magazine and many other fashion centric labels, her name is Celine Wong but when the ink goes on the paper, she goes by the name, Lihua!

Lihua is a 25 year old fine art illustrator. She primarily does work focusing on the world of fashion. She was born and raised in Kedah before moving to KL to study and eventually becoming a lecturer at The One Academy.

Her signature calligraphy based style started off when she was talking calligraphy lessons from the tender age of six till she was 16. She soon developed her own interest and started applying the technique she learnt to create that defining style she has.

Recently she ended her job as a lecturer as she wanted to further her studies in the UK later this year. Her work has brought her all over the world, she went to Singapore, Thailand, bits of Europe, the UK and also USA for commercial and private clients. During KL Fashion 2015 week (arguably its biggest event), the ESMOD Show gathered 200 new apparels by student designers from 15 countries including Paris. Lihua was called to adorn the runway walls with one-storey high prints of her illustration.

For the record, Lihua scored 11!
