Keren Bala Devan, Comedian One Mic Stand

Keren Bala Devan

Tonight, we were joined by a man who is equally funny whilst being perpetually angry at the world, Keren Bala Devan! Noted for his special kind of rant comedy, Keren is a man who is quoted from his own Facebook page, as a ‘culture assassin’ and ‘truth sayer’.

His observations of the world perpetuates his brand of comedy where the slightest sight of either hipsters, ridiculous pop culture and conspiracy theorists would spark an irate and loud remark from Keren that’s only reserved for the laughter of his audience.

As a man who studied at Sydney Film School, he learnt the knack of producing with his name as a producer in the credits of ‘DEAD RUN’. A 2009 short about survivors of the zombie apocalypse, was the official selection for NYC Horror Film Festival 2010.

He debuted with a bang at TimeOut’s Comedy Thursday in October 2010 with a hilarious rant about tall, fit people. Took a break and emerged back doing stand up in 2012 with One Mic Stand at PJLA, Jaya One. With a few years of cracking jokes, he’s now a producer for One Mic Stand and is now a regular at The Crackhouse Comedy Club!

For the record, Keren scored 20 points!
