Jin Hackman, Rapper, Raising The Bar

24-Jul-15 20:00

Jin Hackman

Tonight, we got the slick tongued, freedom of speech advocate, the humorous rap battle fighter, Tang Eu-Jin or better known as Jin Hackman! We see if this banana could tackle tonight’s Smartypants without breaking his flow.

Funny enough, Jin’s stage name was a word play on the actor’s name, Gene Hackman. He was bored with getting people confused by with his last stage name so he dropped it. Jin’s a big man when it comes to freedom of speech, where he uses rap as his way to express it. His speech gets amplified when he’s on stage whether it be performing his own tracks or for a rap battle.

His first album titled Jinius At Work, released in 2009 was a real compilation to show off Jin’s skills on the recorded mic. JUICE Magazine soon picked it up and even labelled it as their Best Hip-Hop Album in 2009.

But for most, Jin’s climb were catalyzed by his yearly Rap Up YouTube videos started in 2009. By 2013, Jin started to collaborate with TAPAUtv for it. With the 2014 edition garnering 50k views! He’s working on his sophomore album titled as WHTR? and already released a single, Disz Joint in 2010. It quickly got up to Hitz.fm’s Top 10 MET chart. Jin earlier this year launched his new track, Banana to a wide praises.

Even more so, Jin ever since 2010 has spearheaded Raising The Bar, a monthly hip-hop show initiative to bring up new local artists up on stage to show off their skills. By December, RTB will be five years old!

For the record, Jin scored 5.5!
