Harith Iskander

Harith Iskander a.k.a the Godfather of stand-up comedy of Malaysia is also an award-winning entertainer, actor, director, producer and writer. Having been considered as the pioneer for Malaysian stand-up comedy in 1991.

 

Harith notes his sense of comedy is derived from his late mother. Being English, it taught Harith dry wit which influenced him till today. Harith, born in Johor, majored in film and TV productions from Curtin University in Perth, Australia.

 

Harith was producing TV commercials for an advertising firm until one day he stood a chance to tell funny stories to an audience at the old Subang Airport Hotel lobby lounge. Fast forward 24 years later, Harith is still up on stage telling funny stories for everyone.
