Weaving Out The Middleman

One thing that often goes unnoticed in the jewelry market, is how middle men in supply chains can inflate prices. Ethon Low was especially aware of this fact, and in 2012 he teamed up with now creative director Andrea Kee, and founded Tailored Jewell to address this issue. While they pride themselves on working directly with suppliers instead of relying of middle men, they also manufacture, minimalistic but stylish jewellery for all demographics, at an extremely affordable price. With plenty of new collections on the way, Ethon and Andrea joined me to talk about their unique business strategy, their simple designs, and plans for the future. Next, Florence Song, Style Lead at Zalora, gives us style tips on this upcoming season’s surfer chic trends of seashell jewelry and woven rope espadrilles.
