Rediscovering Kuala Lumpur

For many of us, Kuala Lumpur is what Azwan Mahzan calls ‘a necessary evil’. We rush into the city for work and dinner dates, then retreat to our suburban neighbourhoods after. Started by Azwan in 2014, #ThisIsKualaLumpur is a photo exploration of Malaysia’s capital, aiming to help KL-ites rediscover the city and reignite their sense of exploration. With their upcoming exhibition at Urbanscapes 2017, they’ll be exhibiting photographs and running photo walks showcasing the beautiful, chaotic mess that is KL.
