10’s All You Need

Kuan Chee Heng, Pasar 10 Sen

25-Mar-17 13:00

10’s All You Need

In the good old days, 10 cents can get you a decent meal. Now, it can’t even get you sweets! While the value of 10 cents may have dropped in the eyes of the general population, Kuan Chee Heng (or more affectionately known as "Mr. Kentang") sees it as an appropriate value to price the pre-loved items he sells at his Pasar 10 Sen. Located at densely populated areas in KL, Pasar 10 Sen aims to cater to the urban poor, not only to improve their lives, but to also return their dignity. "Mr. Kentang" shares with us his experience running Pasar 10 Sen, how he got that moniker, and his various other initiatives to serve the community.
