When Will Proton Go Electric?

Our Cruise Control trio returns this week with some notable headlines from a rather quiet week in the local automotive industry. It looks like Lamborghini have jumped on the EV bandwagon with the launch of their hyper-powered Revuelto, a supercar without the roar of a petrol engine. American giants Tesla have opened local bookings for the facelift edition of their signature Model 3, with starting prices that are set to shock the market yet again.

Tesla's competitive local pricing, coupled with the entry of Chinese EVs this year, raises a significant question: is Geely going to provide Proton with our very first Malaysian EV? We examine Geely's latest Geometry 6 electric sedan, a model primed for a re-badge in Malaysia sooner rather than later.

We round off the episode with Daniel's tips on buying a 5 year-old BMW X2, a compact SUV that seems less prominent compared to its siblings, the X3 and X5
