S2E40: Tossed Into The Limelight

Ultimate (formerly known as Ultimate Frisbee) is a sport not many of us knew was played competitively, but little did we know of Malaysia’s incredibly tight knit, dedicated Ultimate scene. The sport has only grown since its introduction here, and many of our players have competed in international tournaments. Christina Hunter and Chong Lai Peng, the former coach and captain of Malaysia’s Under 24 Ultimate squad respectively join us on the show this week, after returning from the Ultimate Under 24 International Championship at Perth, Australia, earlier this year. Together, they walk us through the sport, with some insight on how some of its distinctive rules promote sportsmanship, as well as their experiences playing abroad and what it signifies for the future of the Ultimate scene here in Malaysia.
