July 14th set to be a turn of a new era for Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) as it marks the first time a commoner will be set to be at the helm. Ahead of the 54th FA of Malaysia congress, the current leading candidate for the post is Datuk Hamidin Amin, after former Kelantan FA boss Tan Sri Annuar Musa pulled out from the race to the presidency.. Datuk Hamidin Amin already has a roster planned out for the committee with, among others, Oman-based Malaysian Mohammad Saifuddin Abu Bakar in the lineup. The technical consultant of the Oman Football Association and formerly FAM’s assistant general secretary joins us on this week’s to reveal some of the inner machinations, political workings behind national football associations and reveal the much needed future plans for Malaysian football.
