A former navy officer and an ex-Olympian, Karu Selvaratnam is a legendary icon in the local sporting world. He joins us this week to share fascinating stories about his initiation into sports through cricket at a tender age in Sri Lanka, his participation in the 1964 Tokyo Olympics, and his pursuit of a naval career. Karu also elaborates on the role of the Malaysian Olympians Association and highlights its efforts to promote the welfare of fellow Olympians. On the performance of our national teams and athletes, the veteran lets us in on his thoughts on their potential for scoring success in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
