Shaping Historical Deaths

This week on A Bit of Culture, we welcome columnist Netusha Naidu and BFM producer Sim Wie Boon together with our host, Kam Raslan. Sim begins the conversation by lamenting the inaccuracy of historical facts portrayed in films, expressing that films may not deliver facts as accurately as they should. This begs the question, should films do a better job in educating viewers? Then, Kam steers the conversation to the topic of death, a compare and contrast between an individual's life expectancy back in the 19th century till present analyzing common reasons for one’s death. Lastly, the trio discusses the obsession middle-class Malaysians have for extra co-curricular activities especially for the young ones. Though It may be out of good intention, does it really..really help mould an individual’s future?
