A Piece of the Pie

This edition of A Bit of Culture is a focus on World Food Day 2020; featuring two fascinating observations told through the eyes of an academic, and a troubadour-turned-farmer. We unravel some interesting insights on food sourcing and its supply chain, first with Penangite Gaik Cheng Khoo and her current study on the economies of the durian. We also check in with singer songwriter Pete Teo - speaking from his farm in Janda Baik, Pahang - recounting his early days of leaving KL to settle into his new life planting vegetables, the importance of a healthy soil topped off with a few tips on sustainable farming.
