On Monday, the proposed amendments for the Communication and Multimedia Act (CMA) 1998, were tabled for its first reading in Dewan Rakyat. This has raised objections from many NGOs who say that these changes will infringe on freedom of speech and human rights. Nalini Elumalai, Senior Malaysia Program Officer, Article 19 tells us why they believe so.
