Improving Preparedness For Malaysia's Annual Flood Season

The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission has disclosed that it is in the final phase of reviewing the implementation of a direct disaster notification channel, that aims to bypass the SMS system. Dr. Khamarrul Azahari Razak, Director of the Disaster Preparedness and Prevention Center (DPPC) at the Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, shares his views on this issue.
