The Securities Commission's Practical Guide on Venture Capital & Private Equity in Malaysia highlights the importance of the startup ecosystem to the country's progress. This is also underlined by data which revealed that KL’s startup ecosystem generated more than RM220 billion in ecosystem value from July 2021 to Dec 2024. Ng Sai Kit, Chairman of Malaysia Venture Capital and Private Equity Association gives us some colour on this topic.
