As a rule of thumb, one usually will set a 20% budget for renovations and another 5% for interior design works. Of course the budget can vary depending on the scope of work and ones taste for the finer things in life. But once a project starts, cost overruns and delays are common difficulties faced by home owners with their contractors. We speak with Jacky Chuah, CEO, Rekatone who shares his tips on appointing contractors and avoiding common pitfalls.
