New Zealand, despite being Home of Middle-Earth, hasn’t had the easiest time attracting tourists. That might be — at least in part — due to its relatively remote location, which naturally makes the nation a more exclusive vacation destination. So how is Tourism New Zealand attempting to lure more Malaysian and Southeast Asian tourists? And how has the tourism industry impacted local New Zealanders? We speak to Steven about access, over-tourism and more.
