As polling day for the Sabah state election draws near, all eyes are on the fervent campaigning happening in the state. How will the Perikatan Nasional government do in its first official showing as a coalition? Who will claim the post of Chief Minister? With all the questions surrounding the outcome of the election, it becomes even more important to understand Sabah's history, and how it has informed its current political landscape.
