History, Geopolitics, Chip War And The Semiconductor Industry.

History, geopolitics, chip war and the semiconductor industry. In the current world we live in, power be it military, economic and geopolitics is built on the essence of computer chips. The US has maintained its lead as a superpower due to its domination in advanced computer chips but this is in danger of slipping now. In early October, the US also announced a ban on the sale of high-end semiconductor chips to China. What does all this mean for the worldwide semiconductor industry? We speak to Chris Miller, economic historian and author of the book Chips War - The fight for the world's most critical technology. The book has won the Financial Times Business Book of the year.
