Malaysia is one of Canada's largest bilateral merchandise trading partners in Southeast Asia. Bilateral trade between both countries reached RM8.05 billion as of August 2024, which is a significant 41% year-on-year increase. Philip See speaks with the new High Commissioner of Canada to Malaysia, Her Excellency Jodi Robinson, to discuss the growing economic ties between Canada and Malaysia as well as Ottawa's vision for strengthening bilateral relations with Putrajaya.
