The World of Outsource in Malaysia

Leo Ariyanayakam, CEO and Founder of Scicom (MSC) Berhad, joins us on the Breakfast Grille.

We talk about the company's financial performance for the year ended 30 June 2013, their different sources of revenue and the part foreign exchange gains plays in the highlighted financial figures.

Almost equal proportions of revenue originate from Malaysia and Singapore so we discuss the prospects for the region and the difference in doing business in Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Indonesia. More importantly, on what basis Malaysia can compete with the likes of India and Philippines who are the top two outsourcing providers in the world.

With recent changes in substantial shareholding in the business, he is asked if there are any plans to privatise the business and what he hopes the business will achieve in the coming years.
