The Malaysian Government has set an ambitious target to achieve a higher penetration of Renewable Energy (RE) in the Malaysian energy mix.


Despite the government placing significant value on solar projects, suppliers of the photovoltaic industry seem to disregard the projects due to lacklustre demand.


We speak to Chin Soo Mau, the President of the Malaysian Photovoltaic Industry Association (MPIA) to discuss the challenges faced by the industry and the opportunities it offers.
