After 16 years at the helm, Tan Sri Dr Zeti Akhtar Aziz will finally take a bow and retire as Governor of Bank Negara. She presided over the central bank during some of the most volatile period for Malaysia including two economic recessions in the 1990's & 2008, as well as address concerns surrounding 1MDB. We assess her tenure with our market & political commentators, and the challenges that her successor Datuk Muhammad Ibrahim will face as the new Governor.
