The new Malaysian Cabinet is notable for its lack of a Deputy Prime Minister post. Instead, Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has appointed four Senior Ministers to share the load and assist him in his ministerial duties. So to understand the traditional role of a Deputy Prime Minister, we speak to constitutional lawyer Lim Wei Jiet, who explains the constitutional position of a DPM.
