The Israel-Hamas Ceasefire Resolution: A Turning Point?

For the first time, the United States did not use its veto power to kill a United Nations Security Council resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire between Israel and Palestinian group Hamas. The legally binding resolution has now been passed with the other 14 members voting yes. Carrie Nooten, the UN Correspondent for Le Monde and Radio France Internationale helps put this development into context.
