Following the April 22 terrorist attack in Kashmir that killed 26 civilians, India launched “Operation Sindoor,” striking nine suspected militant sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir. In response, Pakistan claims to have shot down five Indian jets. We speak with Dr Rahul Mishra, Associate Professor at the Centre for Indo-Pacific Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi to better understand the implications of this escalation.
