After nearly 20 years, the exit of US troops from Afghanistan is underway, scheduled to be completed by the end of August. While this is a move long in the making, questions remain over whether a lack of US forces will once again allow for the Taliban to seize control of the country, and if Afghanistan's economy can survive the removal of military spending. We speak to Michael Kugelman, Deputy Director of the Wilson Centre for some insight.
