Amid expectations for fewer rates cuts in 2025 by the US Federal Reserve, its chair Jerome Powell and his team are likely going to have to navigate between inflation risks along with political risks, as president-elect Donald Trump takes office. Vishnu Varathan, Head of Economics & Strategy, Mizuho Bank, talks to us about what we can expect in terms of how the US central bank might respond and whether the USD will resume its ascent.
