Budget 2024 was the most expansionary on record, with rakyat friendly measures although there were some notable taxes which includes, a proposed 5-10% luxury tax on high value goods and an increase in sugar tax while price controls for eggs and chicken were scrapped. What then are the winners and losers in the consumer sector? Genevieve Ng Pei Fen, Consumer & glove analyst at MIDF Investment gives us her views.
