Turkey - Pivoting to Russia?

The terrorist attack at Istanbul’s Reina nightclub on New Year’s Day, has led to speculation that the Turkish government of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his AKP party are losing their grip on the political, social and security aspects of their nation.

BFM explores how Erdogan's administration is trying to frame the ongoing chaos to its own advantage, his about-turn in collaborating and fostering close ties with Russia, and whether this strategy can serve to keep him in power over the long term.

This is a report by Jason Lim.
