The Women, Family and Community Development Ministry recently announced the creation of a sex offender’s registry, to be made available to the public for free. Several rights groups, including children's rights groups and lawyers have questioned if free and easy access to the list infringes upon the rights of the individuals named.
Today on Current Affairs, we uncover the concerns raised and if they are valid concerns.
This is a report by Sharyl Kaur and May Barani Lwin.
