Kedah MB Crisis - Loyalty & Succession

The forced resignation of Mukhriz Mahathir as Menteri Besar of Kedah and relatively smooth succession put the unique features of our parliamentary system in the spotlight. While Muhkriz appealed to popular support, the system acknowledges that it is the party with a majority in the Assembly which decides on who is Menteri Besar. We also ask who is Ahmad Bashah and how he is qualified to lead the government of Kedah.
