11th Malaysia Plan : Final Lap and Hurdles to Vision 2020

2016 marks the start of Malaysia's latest 5-year development plan, the 11th Malaysia Plan, as the final lap before becoming a developed nation. Last year however saw the economy struggle in the face of a weakening currency and slumping crude oil prices. BFM explores if Malaysia ready -- and able -- to execute the 11th Malaysia Plan.

For today's current affairs segment, we interviewed:

Dr Suresh Kumar Ramanathan (Independent Forex Strategist)
Aaron Tan (Oil & Gas Analyst, MIDF Research)
Christian de Guzman (Senior Analyst, Moody’s Investors Service)
Suhaimi Ilias (Chief Economist, Maybank Investment Bank)
Faris Hadad-Zervos (Country Manager, World Bank Group)
Rafael Muñoz Moreno (Senior Economist, World Bank Group)

This is a report by Keith Kam.
