Top 5 at 5: What's the Next Step for Indira Gandhi?

Indira Gandhi's case surrounding the unilateral conversion of her 11 month old child has been a long saga. Despite a court order and arrest warrant being issued against her ex-husband Riduan Abdullah, authorities claim he was unable to be located, despite his name and IC appearing on Budi95 and SARA aid databases. We hear from Indira herself and her lawyer Arun Dorasamy, chairman of the Indira Gandhi Action Team for their thoughts on these developments and what's next.

Other stories we covered:

• FIFA upholds sanctions against FAM: With the confirmation of the sanctions, FAM will be fined 1.8 million ringgit, while the players will be fined about 10,000 ringgit each and will be suspended for 12 months from all football-related activities. We speak to sports lawyer Richard Wee about the impact this will have on our local football landscape.

• Controversial combat sports video causes backlash: A promotional video by Warzone World Championship featuring children in a mock fight during a press conference sparked outrage from parents, as well as Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh who barred the event from taking place. We discuss the role of violence in combat sports and if it's a place for children after all.

• Renowned local historian passes away at 84: Last night saw the passing of historian Datuk Dr Ahmat Adam, who was best known for his critical approach and his works on Malaysian and Indonesian history. His passing received an outpour of condolence messages, including one from his contemporary, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. We hear from Eddin Khoo, founder of PUSAKA who reflects on his legacy.

• Roblox faces safety concerns in Malaysia: A 6-year-old boy in Batu Pahat was killed by his 9-year-old older brother after he interrupted his game of Roblox. This tragic death has sparked wider concerns about the addictive nature of online games and the measures the government can take to regulate platforms. We discuss if the government should be allowed to sanction the consumption of online games as well as the impact of habit-forming games on children’s personalities.
