We continue with our second episode of 'Road to the White House' our series that takes you on a journey through American politics from now till Election Day on November 5th. Today, we speak to political scientist Derick Becker, about foreign policy platforms of the candidates, and how this resonates with American voters.

· Citizenship Law Amendments: The Citizenship Amendment Bill gets a second reading, despite strong criticisms over issues including the removal of existing progressive provisions that protect abandoned babies. We reached out to Maalini Ramalo, the Social Protection Director of the non-profit group Development of Human Resources for Rural Areas Malaysia, for comment on this.

· Shooting of Stray Dog Sparks Outcry: A dog in Terengganu was shot to death by the Besut District Council, causing huge outcry from the community around that area. The council has said that they had followed procedures, and was responding to complaints about a pack of aggressive stray dogs harassing pedestrians. We hear from animal rights activist and lawyer Rajesh Nagarajan.

· Budget 2025 Expectations for Women's Needs: As Budget 2025 looms over us, we hear from women representatives on what hopes they have for the budget to address women issues across various sectors. We hear from Alyssa Pong, assistant advocacy officer at All Women’s Action Society, Beatrice Leong, from Autism Inclusiveness Direct Action Group as well as Ili Nadiah Dzulfakar, chairperson of Klima Action Malaysia.

· Popek Popek Parlimen: Parliament is back in session, with MPs discussing new parliamentary conduct to allow government backbenchers to ask more questions during the oral session, laws surrounding online scams, as well as our role in the South China Sea conflict.
