2. In the latest episode of the 1MDB saga, the Swiss Federal Criminal Court has convicted two PetroSaudi executives for embezzling US$1.8 billion from the 1MDB investment fund. 4. Amendments to the Malaysian Aviation Consumer Protection Code now means that travellers will get better protection. This includes being refunded for flights delayed more than five hours, as well as being notified of changes to a flight’s scheduled departure time. Transport lawyer Matthew Jerome van Huizen shares his thoughts on this new amendment.

5. A month after its shock election result, France’s political deadlock became even more complicated when French President Emmanuel Macron rejected the New Popular Front prime ministerial nominee Lucie Castets. Arnaud Bertrand, a commentator on economic and geopolitical matters, weighs in on the situation.
