Top 5 At 5: Kuala Nerus Peat Swamp Forest At Risk

Concerns have been raised over a proposal to develop an oil palm plantation in Kuala Nerus, Terengganu after an Environmental Impact Assessment revealed risks involving flooding and water shortages, as well as a detrimental impact to our forests. The report also highlighted the developer's links to the Terengganu Royalty. We get into this with Low Choon Chyuan, a journalist from Malaysiakini who covers environmental issues.

Other stories we cover in this episode:

· Jakim is looking to make halal certificates compulsory for restaurants that don't serve pork or alcohol. We speak to Jeremy Lim, the vice-president & media liaison of Persatuan Pemilik Restoran & Bistro on how this would impact businesses and restaurant owners.

· A school bus driver has been arrested for inappropriately filming children on his TikTok account. In one of those videos, he's seen to be touching and giving a sleeping child a kiss on the forehead, while other videos involved captions that refer to the children as his "crush" or "beloved." We speak to Srividhya Ganapthy, co-chairperson of CRIB Foundation, about child safety and protection in these situations.

· The government is pumping RM15 million into our Harimau Malaya football team, to help them become football giants in Southeast Asia. We hear thoughts from T. Avinesh, a sports journalist from The Star and also Haresh Deol, editor of Twentytwo13.

· A saltwater crocodile was captured at the Shah Alam lake. We speak to Dr Lim Teck Wyn, an honorary associate professor at the School of Environmental and Geographical Sciences in the University of Nottingham Malaysia on why the crocodile was there, and best ways to co-exist with wildlife.
