Hari Ini Dalam Sejarah Dunia: The Man in the Iron Mask

During the reign of Louis XIV, an unnamed, unknown, man was guarded in isolation under the most hideous circumstances, in remote and tightly confined prisons with double doors. As he was transferred from places of captivity, an iron mask was placed over his head so he could not be seen or heard. His identity is one of the best kept secrets in all of history. His story has been the subject of books, plays and films, and the the glamorizing of his curious life has served only to plunge his real identity deeper into obscurity.

This month, on Hari Ini Dalam Sejarah Dunia, Umapagan Ampikaipakan investigates the history surrounding this mysterious man. Who was he? Why did he spend most of his adult life in prison? And why did he wear an iron mask?
