Everyone’s A Critic - Oppy & Professor Communitas

Oppy & Professor Communitas, an online performance presented by Five Arts Centre, is a new play by Leow Puay Tin that stages a life-changing encounter between a young actor and an aging professor. Directed by Fasyali Fadzly and featuring performers Faiq Syazwan Kuhiri and Iefiz Alaudin as well as the work of multimedia designer Syamsul Azhar, the play examines cultural politics, generational tension, and what it means to make art. We review the play, and discuss what the online medium can add to performances.

Everyone's A Critic is jointly presented with CENDANA. For updates on Malaysian arts and culture, visit them on Facebook and Instagram.
